Bread, olives, za'atar,
sage and mint
Hearty, traditional Jordanian cooking on Hills Road. Falafel over hummus, grills, slow lamb stews and warm bread, served in generous portions and made to be shared.

We opened in a small restaurant on Mill Road in April 2019, serving wholesome, traditional Jordanian meals. Our customers stayed with us through the lockdowns, and their support is what pushed us to grow. In February 2023 we moved to this larger room on Hills Road, added more of the dishes known and loved in Jordan, and began catering for private functions.

The fresh mango juice has its own following: a big glass, thick and sweet, unlike anything most of our guests have tried before. There is also a Jordanian Chardonnay if you fancy a glass with the grills. Eat in, take away or order for delivery, and collection orders can be placed online.
The food is the kind we grew up on. Bread, rice, lamb, olives and olive oil, za'atar, tahini, garlic, sage and mint. Big plates, honest portions, no ceremony.

The grills come up again and again: tender, juicy meat full of flavour, and falafel that is crisp outside and soft inside. Portions are big enough that plenty of tables cannot finish.
A busy, popular room, packed on a Friday, with a welcoming feel. Tables sit close together, which most people read as a good sign.
Good value for Cambridge at this quality, with hearty helpings across the mezze, stews and desserts. The fresh mango juice gets singled out again and again.
